Allstate Glass Claim in Georgia: Glass Claim Express
Allstate says repairs carry no deductible and that you do not have to use Safelite. How an Allstate Glass Claim Express claim works for Georgia drivers.
Allstate gives its glass benefit a name: Glass Claim Express. It is a benefit of an Allstate auto or motorcycle policy, and Allstate’s page says plainly that “there is not a deductible for a glass repair.” The same page says you are “not required to use a Safelite shop.” If you carry Allstate in Forsyth County or the north Atlanta suburbs, those two lines are the ones to start with.
We are Executive Auto Glass, a fully mobile auto glass company based in Cumming, Georgia. We have been in business since 2009. We are not Allstate, and we cannot read your policy for you. Every Allstate detail below comes from Allstate’s own pages, linked so you can check it.
What Glass Claim Express is, according to Allstate
On its windshield and glass claims page, Allstate lists what Glass Claim Express includes when you file a claim to repair your windshield:
- Access to a Glass Claim Express expert, around the clock
- 7,200 repair shops to choose from
- Some shops will send someone to your home or work, depending on your vehicle manufacturer’s repair requirements
- A lifetime workmanship guarantee on full glass replacements
Those are Allstate’s words and Allstate’s numbers. We cannot speak for how they apply to your claim, and the shop count is Allstate’s to confirm.
The page also says Allstate partners with auto glass experts at Safelite to handle glass-only claims. Then it adds the line that matters most to us: you are not required to use a Safelite shop for repairs. It lists benefits of doing so, such as the lifetime workmanship guarantee on full glass replacements and access to a glass claims expert.
That is an honest way to say it. There are benefits to Allstate’s route, and the choice is still yours.
Where we fit in with an Allstate claim
We are not part of Glass Claim Express, and we will not tell you we are. We will not tell you Allstate recommends us. What we are is a preferred insurance vendor for all major insurance companies.
So here is how it works if you want us:
- You file your claim with Allstate.
- You tell Allstate you want Executive Auto Glass to do the work, and you give them our number.
- Or you hand us your insurance information and the details of the damage, and we file the claim for you.
Allstate’s page says some shops will come to your home or work. For our work, we are fully mobile. We come to your home or workplace. We have no shop and no walk-in.
Georgia’s state agencies back up asking before you book. The Georgia Office of Commissioner of Insurance tells drivers in its auto claim tips to know their company’s policy on qualified repair shops. The state’s consumer protection website adds that insurers differ on shops: some suggest one, others ask for several estimates. Those pages talk about repair work in general, not glass only. The habit is the point. Ask Allstate before you book.

How to file an Allstate glass claim
Allstate’s page says to file online with Safelite, using a link on the glass page. Allstate’s general claims page says auto claims can be taken care of in My Account. If you are not an Allstate customer, the page says to call 800-255-7828 to file.
Here is the order we suggest for a driver in Cumming, Dawsonville, Alpharetta or anywhere else we serve:
- Photograph the damage. One photo from inside, one from outside, and a coin next to a chip.
- Check your policy. Look for comprehensive and any glass terms. Replacement deductibles can differ from repair.
- Gather your VIN. We need it to quote a replacement. One vehicle can have up to about 15 windshield versions by option package.
- File your claim. Use My Account, or the glass claim link on Allstate’s glass page.
- Name your shop. Tell Allstate you want Executive Auto Glass, and give them our number.
- Ask what you owe. Ask whether a deductible applies to your damage.
- Text us your claim details. Send the photo and any claim number.
- Book the visit. We come to you.
- Keep your paperwork. Save the claim number and the final invoice.
If you would rather skip the forms, we can file the claim for you.
The deductible: repair versus replacement
Allstate’s page puts it in two sentences. There is not a deductible for a glass repair. States differ on whether there is a deductible for a glass replacement, so you need to check your policy.
That is a useful split, and it is why the line between repair and replacement matters so much.
- A chip. Allstate says no deductible for a glass repair. Our chip repair is a flat $85 for up to 3 chips on the same windshield, mobile service included, if you choose to pay us yourself.
- A replacement. Allstate says states differ. We cannot tell you the answer for your Georgia policy. Check your policy, or ask Allstate before you book.
- When in doubt, compare numbers. Our free estimate comes from your VIN. Put it beside your deductible. If the estimate is lower than the deductible, filing does not help you, and we will say so.

Why Allstate says to fix small damage early
Allstate’s page has a short section for minor damage. It says that even if the glass damage is minor, it is a good idea to get it repaired as soon as possible, and that small chips and cracks can often be repaired without replacing the whole windshield.
We agree with that, and we see it all the time. A chip is simple to fill. A crack that has run across the glass usually means replacement.
Georgia does not help you wait. Warm afternoons and cool nights flex the glass. A drive up GA-400 or a bumpy back road in Forsyth County can push a small chip into a long crack.
Our rule of thumb: a chip smaller than a quarter that sits outside the driver’s line of sight is a good candidate for repair. More than 3 chips on the same windshield, and we usually recommend replacement. A photo from you tells us more than any rule does. Start with windshield repair for a chip, or windshield replacement for a crack.
Glass type, warranties and the dealer
Allstate’s page mentions a lifetime workmanship guarantee on full glass replacements done through Safelite. Ours is separate. Our workmanship warranty lasts for the life of the vehicle.
We install OEM, OEE (original equipment equivalent) and aftermarket glass, so you can choose, and we have a fallback when one type is not available. What Allstate pays for is a question for Allstate, so ask when you file.
If your car has a camera behind the windshield, we do not do ADAS camera calibration. After a replacement on a car that needs it, we refer the calibration to the dealer. Manufacturers recommend dealer calibration, and makers require a controlled indoor space, which cannot be done mobile.
We also do door glass, quarter glass and back glass, each with a free estimate by vehicle. See door glass replacement for the side window. A customer review confirms we reconnect rear defroster connections on back glass jobs.

A realistic example from Forsyth County
Say you commute from Cumming to Alpharetta, and a stone chips the glass near the top of the windshield. You open My Account, start the glass claim, and read what Allstate says about your deductible. You see that repairs carry no deductible, so you decide to have it repaired right away instead of waiting to see if it spreads.
You tell Allstate you want Executive Auto Glass, and you text us a photo and the claim number. We look at the photo, confirm the chip is a repair and not a replacement, and set up a visit at your home or office. Nothing about that needs you to drive to a shop, because we do not have one.
If the photo shows the chip has already grown into a long crack, we say so. Then it is a replacement, and the deductible question comes back. That is why the photo comes first.
