Georgia Farm Bureau Glass Claim: What to Ask First
Georgia Farm Bureau lists four ways to report a claim, but its pages we read say little about glass. Here is how to report a windshield claim and what to ask.
Georgia Farm Bureau is a home-state insurer, and plenty of drivers around Cumming and Forsyth County carry it. When a rock hits the windshield, the first thing to know is that Georgia Farm Bureau does not post a glass-specific page the way some national companies do. We looked. The pages we read explain how to report a claim, and they do not explain glass coverage, glass deductibles or shop rules. That is not a problem. It just means you ask three questions, and we will tell you which ones.
We are Executive Auto Glass, a fully mobile auto glass company based in Cumming. We have been in business since 2009. We are not Georgia Farm Bureau, and we cannot read your policy for you. Where we state something about Georgia Farm Bureau, it comes from its own pages, and where those pages are silent, we say so.
What Georgia Farm Bureau tells you about reporting a claim
Georgia Farm Bureau’s own article about its claims service, Wherever You Go, We’re There With You, lists these ways to report a claim:
- Phone. Call 855-432-2567, or 855-GFB-CLMS. The article says you can “speak with a live person any time of day or night.”
- Mobile app. Registered users of the free Android or iPhone app can use the Claim Center at any hour, even from the accident site.
- Online. Registered members can report a claim through the website at any time.
- In person. The article says any of Georgia Farm Bureau’s offices can help with a claim. It cites 158 offices.
A Georgia Farm Bureau storm relief page lists the same ways to report: the Claims Center phone number, the GFB Insurance website at gfbinsurance.com, the mobile app, or your Georgia Farm Bureau agent. That page is about a past storm, so we use it only to confirm the channels. It does not mention glass.
That is everything we can verify. We did not find a page from Georgia Farm Bureau that says how glass claims are routed, whether you can pick your shop, or how a glass deductible works. So we will not make those things up.
What the State of Georgia says about glass coverage
The Georgia Office of Commissioner of Insurance describes comprehensive coverage on its auto insurance page. It says comprehensive pays “for damage to your auto from almost all other causes,” and adds: “This coverage will also cover broken glass and windshield damage.”
That is the starting point for any Georgia driver, including a Georgia Farm Bureau member. Glass usually falls under comprehensive. If your policy has comprehensive, a broken windshield is where it applies. If it does not, glass is on you.
What the state page does not say is what your deductible is. That is printed on your own policy. Open your declarations page, or call your agent, and find the line for comprehensive.
We keep a simpler page on the same subject: does insurance cover a windshield? It covers the basics for every insurer.
The three questions to ask Georgia Farm Bureau
Since the pages are quiet on glass, call the Claims Center or your agent and ask these three things:
- “Does my policy have comprehensive, and what is my deductible for glass?” Some policies may treat glass differently from other comprehensive claims. Ask, and get the answer in plain words.
- “Can I choose my own glass shop?” Get a yes or no, and ask what it means for how the claim is paid.
- “What do I pay, and what do you pay, if I use Executive Auto Glass?” If you want to use us, say our name and give them our number. We are a preferred insurance vendor for all major insurance companies.
We will not tell you that Georgia Farm Bureau recommends us or that we are in its network. We do not know that, and we do not say it. We say what is true: we have worked on glass since 2009, we come to you, and our workmanship warranty lasts for the life of the vehicle.
If you would rather not make the call yourself, give us your insurance information and the details of the damage. We can file the claim for you.

Why asking about the shop matters in Georgia
Georgia’s own agencies agree that insurers do not all work the same way. The Office of Commissioner of Insurance, in its auto claim tips, tells drivers to be familiar with their company’s policy on qualified repair shops. The state’s consumer protection website notes that some insurers suggest a particular shop and others require several estimates.
Both of those pages talk about repair work in general, not glass only. We use them for the habit they point to, not for a rule about glass. The habit is this: before you book, ask your insurer how it handles the shop.
For a Georgia Farm Bureau member, that means a short phone call to the Claims Center or a visit to your local agent. A local agent is a real advantage here. You can sit down, show the photo, and ask the three questions in person.
Step by step: a Georgia Farm Bureau glass claim
Here is the order we suggest for a driver in Cumming, Dawsonville, Gainesville or anywhere else we serve.
- Photograph the damage. One photo from inside, one from outside, and a coin next to a chip.
- Gather your VIN. We need it to quote a replacement. One vehicle can have up to about 15 windshield versions by option package.
- Check your policy. Look for comprehensive and your deductible.
- Report the claim. Use the Claim Center phone line, the app, the website, or your agent.
- Ask the three questions above.
- Name your shop. If you choose Executive Auto Glass, say so and give them our number.
- Text us your claim details. Send the photo and any claim number you get.
- Book the visit. We come to your home or workplace. We are fully mobile, with no shop and no walk-in.
- Keep your paperwork. Save the claim number and the final invoice.
Chip, crack or door glass
We do windshield replacement, chip repair, door glass, quarter glass and back glass. We work on cars, trucks, SUVs and vans.
For a chip, see windshield repair. Chip repair is a flat $85 for up to 3 chips on the same windshield, mobile service included. A chip smaller than a quarter that sits outside the driver’s line of sight is a good candidate. More than 3 chips, and we usually recommend replacement.
For a crack, see windshield replacement. Pricing depends on your vehicle, and we quote it from the VIN. We give a free estimate. Put it next to your deductible. If the estimate is lower than the deductible, filing does not help you, and we will say so.
For the side window, see door glass replacement. Door, quarter and back glass each get a free estimate by vehicle. A customer review confirms we reconnect rear defroster connections on back glass jobs.
Forsyth County has plenty of gravel and construction trucks, and chips are common. A chip is much easier to deal with than a crack. Warm afternoons and cold nights flex the glass, and a long drive on GA-400 can push a small chip into a long crack.
Glass type and the dealer
We install OEM, OEE (original equipment equivalent) and aftermarket glass, so you can choose. We have a fallback when one type is not available. What your policy pays for is a question for Georgia Farm Bureau, so ask when you report the claim.
If your car has a camera behind the windshield, we do not do ADAS camera calibration. After a replacement on a car that needs it, we refer the calibration to the dealer. Manufacturers recommend dealer calibration, and makers require a controlled indoor space, which cannot be done mobile.
